সোমবার সকাল ৮টায় পাইকগাছা সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় ও মডেল সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ে প্রধান অতিথি হি সেবে উপস্থিত থেকে এসব অসহায় গরিব ও দুস্থদের হা তে ভিজিএফ’র চাল চাল তুলে দেন পৌর প্রশাসক ও উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার ওয়াসিউজ্জামান ।
পৌরসভা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা মো. লালু সরদার জানান, পবি ত্র ঈদুল ফিতর উপলক্ষ্যে পৌরসভার দরিদ্র জনগো ষ্ঠীর জন্য ত্রাণ ও দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা মন্ত্রণালয় থেকে ৪৬.২৫ মেট্রিকটন চাল বরাদ্দ দেয়। ৯টি ওয়ার্ডের মোট ৪হাজার ৬শত ২৫ জন হতদরিদ্র কার্ডধারী পরিবারকে ১০ কেজি করে চাল প্রদান করা হয়।
